With the substantial drop in temperature, the laser water cooler is located in the environmental temperature is too low, may lead to water cooler failure and pipeline icing, because the density of ice is less than the density of water, so it will lead to the water cooler and laser internal due to the volume expansion caused by the rupture or deformation of the cooling water pipeline, which will lead to the core components of the major damage.
Basic anti-freezing measures
In order to prevent the cooling liquid from solidifying and causing damage to the laser, output head and water cooler, the following 3 solutions are recommended:
1.Ensure that the water cooler is not turned off at night when the factory will not lose power to ensure that the cooling liquid is in circulation.
2.Empty the cooling liquid from the laser, laser output head and water cooler after each day’s use.
3.Use the antifreeze specified by the laser manufacturer as the cooling liquid.
Cooling water emptying method
Open the water drain valve of the water cooler and drain out all the water. Remove the filter cartridge to drain the water, because this part of the water can not be discharged to prevent icing the shell up. For some of the water is not easy to discharge the need to use compressed air to blow out and pay attention to the direction of the water in and out, “in” for the import, “out” for the export, must be ventilated to the inlet, and pay attention to the pull out of the water pipe when marking to prevent the installation of the reverse.
Note: The laser, laser output head, cutting head and all cooling water in the water cooler must be discharged in order to effectively protect the whole set of water-cooled piping and related devices!
Use the antifreeze specified by the laser manufacturer as the coolant.
When the operating environment does not have the condition of draining the coolant every day, it is necessary to add Antifrogen®N antifreeze from CLARIANT, whose addition ratio is 3:7 (3 is antifreeze, 7 is water), and the antifreeze can resist -20℃ without freezing after adding it. Clariant antifreeze is a light yellow liquid and does not burn when exposed to fire.
Note: To ensure that the water tank is clean:1, drain the used water, clean the inside of the water tank and filter add water to rinse the stains away; 2, remove the cartridge water cup, clean the water cup and replace the cartridge; 3, any antifreeze can not be a complete substitute for deionized water, can not be used for a long time. After the winter must use deionized water or distilled water to clean the pipeline and use deionized water or distilled water as a coolant. 4, can not add antifreeze at night to keep the tank open.
Antifreeze can only prevent icing but can not do absolutely, if there are conditions, we still recommend to improve the power environment, keep the water cooler does not shut down.
If you don’t use the laser cutting machine for a long time, as long as the cooling water passes through the place, especially the inside of the laser and the cooling water in the pipeline, it must be completely drained.
